Author/Illustrator: Brendan Wenzel
Brendan Wenzel is a New York illustrator and conservationist. The story of this children’s book is simple. The cat has “whiskers, ears and paws” but those who see him, such as a child, a fish and a bee, all see him differently. The same can be said for us humans but the illustrations of the cat make for a much more colorful book. But also, some people see cats as scary, or strange, or mean, but in the end, they are still just cats and a part of the animal kingdom. It brings to awareness that there’s no need to put upon all cats any unwarranted projections.
